Come and visit the beautiful Heritage coastline with Dunstanburgh Castle and Craster within walking distance from your cottage. Two traditional whinstone cottages ideally situated on the glorious Northumberland coastline. Perfect for families or couples alike.

Log burners

Dunstanburgh View is a two bedroom cottage that sleeps up to four persons. As well as a newly redesigned kitchen layout, we have also added a new porch/conservatory which is south and west facing, making the most of the sun all year round. As well as the usual appliances, the well equipped kitchen, which looks out onto the rear garden, has a washer/dryer, microwave and DAB radio. Your kitchen has a dining area for you to enjoy your meals.

Welcome basket

The cosy sitting room now boasts a sturdy log burner to keep guests toasty and warm whatever the weather! Yout TV has Freeview and a DVD player is available. A BT hub provides your WiFi and internet access. The Snug Room now also has a TV/Freeview/DVD player with a comfortable sofa and chair - ideal for the kids to use for their own Playstation/X-box/DVDs or just a quiet room for a read or a snooze.

The family bathroom is on the ground floor. This comprises of a washbasin, toilet and bath with overhead shower. A shaver point is also available in the bathroom. Upstairs there is a Kingsize bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with built in wardrobe space. From the twin bedroom and the landing windows, you have views of the coastline, heughs and Dunstanburgh Castle in the distance.

Twin Room - Dunstanburgh View

There is private, off-road parking for your car. Our new small conservatory, which is attached to the kitchen is lovely even on a cooler day, as it is south & west facing and catches the sun all day. It's also an ideal place to leave sandy shoes.

We now provide lovely Christy bath sheets and hand towels for your use, so hopefully that will leave more space in your suitcase! A generous welcome pack on arrival includes wine, homemade marmalade, homemade shortbread and a few basics (semi skimmed milk, eggs etc).

A travel cot and a highchair are both available and should be requested on booking please. Your first basket of logs is free and after that, it is £5.00 per basket and will be delivered to your door on request. Gas central heating provides extra warmth should you prefer not to use the log burner.

Seascape (Sleeps up to 6 guests)

Seascape is a generous three bedroomed cottage which can sleep up to 6 guests.The large sitting room, with double aspect windows, has a log burner to keep you lovely and warm and as in Dunstanburgh View, gas central heating is available throughout the house. The TV has Freeview and a DVD player is also available. A BT hub provides your WiFi & internet access.

The kitchen, again with double aspect windows, is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and DAB radio along with the usual appliances (washer/dryer, tumble dryer, fridge freezer and microwave). Your kitchen has an ample dining area for you to enjoy your meals. A ground floor WC is included in this cottage, as is a small sun porch to the rear.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms - one twin and two doubles. The spacious, first floor hallway offers views which look out towards the heughs, coastline and Dunstanburgh Castle in the distance.The family bathroom is also on this floor and comprises of a bath, a separate shower enclosure, washbasin and toilet. A shaver point is also available.

There is a garage attached to the cottage which can be used as storage for any cycles, walking gear etc. There is ample car parking, some off road.

We are unable to accommodate pets in either cottage.

Both cottages are fully equipped to the Visit Britain '3 Stars' standard.

A 'Welcome Guest' folder is packed full of information, suggested local walks, Lindisfane crossings and helpful ideas.

Parking is generally free in Northumberland apart from a few car parks and we provide a parking disc for your use. A local weekly paper (useful for checking tide times & opening times for local attractions) and a weekly TV magazine is provided too.

If you like to eat out in the evenings, The Cottage Inn in Dunstan, The Jolly Fisherman and The Craster Fish Restaurant (Robsons) both in Craster are all within walking distance (range from half mile to one mile).

In an ideal position about one mile from Craster, you are within walking distance of the beautiful coastline which gives you access to the Northumberland Coastal Path (north & south), which also incorporates St.Oswalds Way. The coastal walking is superb but you also have the opportunity to walk in the Cheviots or the hills around Rothbury.The bus service is good and can be ideal for a linear walk along the coastline (north or south). There is a bus stop less than half a mile from your cottage. Dunstanburgh Castle is within walking distance from your cottage.

Birdwatchers have the chance to visit the Farne Islands, Druridge Bay, Newton Ponds or Coquet Island.

For those who want to explore the area, you are within a 15 minute drive of Alnwick - Garden & Castle, with Barter Books closeby; the Farne Islands, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne are all on the coastal route north. Going south you can visit Almouth, Warkworth and Amble and inland you have Rothbury, Cragside (NT) and the National Park. The Scottish Borders are a 30-40 minute drive.
